The Savoy Hotel Beaufort Bar
Whenever anyone suggests having drinks and nibbles at @TheSavoyHotel my mind automatically assumes that it’s at the Iconic American Bar. Little did I know about the Beaufort Bar at The Savoy Hotel. The bar is a black and gold art deco oasis.
The Beaufort Bar is tucked away off of the Thames Foyer at the Savoy. The Beaufort Bar at The Savoy Hotel opens its magnificent doors at 5pm. The Beaufort bar itself stands on the hotel’s former cabaret stage. It goes without saying when you enter there is a real sense of theatre, magic and Drama with a capital ‘D’. ⠀
The Beaufort Bar at The Savoy Hotel have launched an impressive new menu called MUSIC, MAGIC & DRAMA. They embodying the three main elements that make up the Beaufort Bar’s rich history. Each section of the menu is dedicated to three forward-thinking and creative men (WS Gilbert, Arthur Sullivan & Richard D’Oyly Carte) who, with the success of the Savoy Theatre, made the Savoy Hotel what it is today. ⠀

Cocktails are complex but very easy to drink. The bar menu feels is vast like a dinner menu (not complaining) with glistening nuggets of pork belly, selection of satay and beef cheek stuffed bao buns. ⠀The menu has a vaguely Asian feel to it with premium ingredients like wagyu, caviar and oysters.

Service was everything you would expect from the iconic institution that is The Savoy. Perfectly attentive without being annoyingly fussy. . We were dressed rather casually (for the Savoys Standard) and we did not feel out of place and all or underdressed.

It goes without saying that It’s not cheap. If you are going there you know what you are going to spend. ⠀

I’d recommend The Beaufort Bar at The Savoy Hotel as a brilliant destination to take someone you want to impress, and that will appreciate all of the above.
